Ian was born in Manchester, England and enjoyed 30 years in the music business, touring across Europe and later working as a senior sound engineer for TV, Radio & various recording studios. During this time Ian did hundreds of recording sessions, documentaries and interviews. As such he worked in varying capacities with musicians and singers such as Jose Careras, Montserrat Caballe, Mick Jagger, Les Paul, Deep Purple, Udo Juergens, HR Light Orchestra, HR Big Band, Hank Marvin, Jeremy Spencer Band (Fleetwood Mac). His own bands were the British Blues Band, Connection and Rainbow Valley.
His greatest influences are without a doubt Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Hank Marvin and B.B. King.
